Farmer's Daughters Scholarship

IMG_8349.jpg

The Friends of the Southern California Fair Foundation is excited to announce the 2026 Farmer's Daughters Scholarship Program. This program is a longstanding community tradition available to girls residing in Riverside County who will be between the ages of 16 - 19 as of October 1st 2026. The top applicants will be selected to serve as Ambassadors promoting the Southern California Fair for the months leading up to the fair.

To participate as a 2026 Farmers Daughter, you do not have to be an actual daughter of a farmer; however, you will be required to be an exhibitor at the 2026 fair. In the months leading up to the Fair, the top applicants (with Fair chaperone) will participate in selected outings serving as Ambassadors of the Fair where they will receive points on attendance, public speaking and presentations. Events may include charity functions, civic events, festivals, parades, and fundraisers.

Concluding pre-fair events, up to five girls will be selected as finalists and move forward to compete during fair time in October. The girls will compete in fun daily contests, past examples include sewing, goat milking, and tractor driving! The girls earn points for their application, interview, participation in promotional activities, and fair-time contests. The girl with the highest overall score will be crowned "2026 Farmer's Daughter” at the Fair.
